The open beta is free. Journalytic supports mobile web but does not publish a native mobile app.

The published privacy policy, last updated in 2015, says membership is invitation only and registrations receive manual screening. Forum rules favor detailed, civil discussion and prohibit buy, hold, sell, price-target, and AI-generated or AI-edited posts. User contributions use a CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 license. The live About page showed about 6,000 active users in the preceding 30 days when checked.
