Best Multi-Asset Investment Portfolio Tracker

Our editor-ranked portfolio trackers and portfolio management software for investors with several accounts. Global vote totals are shown separately.

This list is for individual investors who manage their own money across several accounts and asset classes. The comparison below shows how four portfolio management tools import holdings and transactions, calculate returns when you add money, handle dividends and other currencies, and where their limits make you pay. Advisors who manage client money should use the investment management software list instead.

One portfolio, four trackers

An example investor has a taxable brokerage account and a retirement account, about 15 open holdings plus one position sold at a gain, one cash contribution, one dividend and one stock priced in another currency, with about 60 trades a year. They want to see each account on its own. Each answer comes from the vendor's own pricing pages, help center or docs.

Choosing portfolio management software

Is free portfolio tracking software enough?

For one account and a handful of holdings, often yes. Sharesight and Snowball Analytics cap their free plans at 10 holdings and count positions you have sold. Portseido's free plan stops at 100 transactions in total. Ghostfolio's hosted free plan publishes no transaction limit but hides dividend totals and some analysis. Open-source desktop apps such as Portfolio Performance list no price if you keep the records yourself.

Which portfolio management software syncs several brokers?

Sharesight syncs some US brokers, such as Fidelity and Robinhood, plus Interactive Brokers; for other brokers, you forward trade confirmation emails or upload CSV files. Snowball Analytics syncs through Yodlee, SnapTrade and Plaid on paid plans, but Starter links only one account; linking several needs Investor. Its Yodlee links often bring only 90 to 200 days of history, so older trades need a file import. Portseido syncs only Interactive Brokers and Trading 212, and Ghostfolio has no broker sync.

How should a tracker calculate returns when I add money?

A money-weighted return, such as IRR, measures your own result, including when you added money. A time-weighted return removes the effect of contributions, which makes it fairer for comparing with a benchmark. Portseido shows both, Snowball Analytics uses IRR with a time-weighted return in beta, Sharesight uses a money-weighted method and Ghostfolio reports return on average investment.

How is this different from investment management software for advisors?

This list is for people who track their own money. Advisors who manage client portfolios need billing, client reporting and model portfolios, which the investment management software list covers.

Best Multi-Asset Investment Portfolio Tracker FAQ

What belongs on this investment portfolio tracker page?

This page is for multi-asset portfolio trackers that help investors monitor accounts, asset allocation, performance, net worth, reports, or exports across more than one narrow stock workflow.

How is this different from a stock portfolio tracker page?

Investment portfolio trackers cover broader portfolios across assets or accounts. Stock portfolio trackers focus on equity holdings, lots, cost basis, dividends, watchlists, and stock-specific alerts.

Are dividend trackers included here?

Dividend features can be included when they are part of a broader portfolio tracker. Pure dividend income trackers are not the main focus of this multi-asset list.

Curation & Accuracy

This directory blends AI‑assisted discovery with human curation. Entries are reviewed, edited, and organized with the goal of expanding coverage and sharpening quality over time. Your feedback helps steer improvements (because no single human can capture everything all at once).

Details change. Pricing, features, and availability may be incomplete or out of date. Treat listings as a starting point and verify on the provider’s site before making decisions. If you spot an error or a gap, send a quick note and I’ll adjust.
