Portfolio Performance Review, Pricing, and Features
Portfolio Performance is a free, open-source, local-first desktop portfolio tracker for investors who want detailed performance accounting, TTWROR/IRR reporting, multi-currency support, rebalancing, imports, exports, and privacy without broker credential sync. It is strongest for hands-on investors willing to maintain transactions locally, while the mobile app is mainly a read-only companion unless optional dashboard subscriptions are used.

Key features
- Track portfolios across accounts and securities accounts with purchases, sales, fees, taxes, dividends, transfers, and full transaction history.
- Measure performance with True-Time Weighted Rate of Return, Internal Rate of Return, drawdown, volatility, semivariance, charts, heat maps, and other risk/performance views.
- Use taxonomies and allocation charts to classify holdings by asset class, region, sector, strategy, or any custom structure.
- Use the rebalancing view to compare target and actual allocations and calculate portfolio deltas.
- Update historical prices through built-in providers, Yahoo Finance, JSON, CSV, and other quote sources, with ECB FX rates for foreign-currency accounts.
- Store data locally in XML, binary, or password-protected AES-256 `.portfolio` files rather than sending portfolio data to a SaaS tracker.
- Import transactions from PDF bank documents, CSV files, manual entry, and Interactive Brokers Activity Flex Query.
- Export portfolio data as CSV, JSON, or XML for offline analysis, backups, and external workflows.
- Use the mobile companion app to read the same portfolio file from cloud storage and run calculations locally on-device; editing is not currently the core mobile workflow.
- Plan for manual maintenance: there is no live broker sync, no trading execution, and users must manage securities, accounts, transactions, and quote sources themselves.
- Use optional mobile Premium dashboards and optional historical market-data services only if the desktop-first free workflow is not enough.

Curation & Accuracy
This directory blends AI‑assisted discovery with human curation. Entries are reviewed, edited, and organized with the goal of expanding coverage and sharpening quality over time. Your feedback helps steer improvements (because no single human can capture everything all at once).
