Overview
Roche has two divisions: Pharmaceuticals and Diagnostics, representing about 78% and 22% of Q1 2026 sales. The pharmaceutical moat is product-level patent and regulatory exclusivity; a large R&D budget supports renewal but is not itself a durable barrier.
